The Arabic Language programme is our main structured programme for Arabic which takes you from a beginner to a proficient user of the language. It is a general Fusha (Standard) Arabic programme which targets and develops all four language skills simultaneously: listening, reading, writing and speaking. It teaches grammar (Nahw, Sarf and Balagha) and vocabulary related to a wide range of topics and themes, modern and classical across the levels.

The programme is composed of 18 levels, with the levels from beginner to advanced having a duration of 50 hours. Each level moves you closer to the overall programme objectives.

The Arabic Immersion programme adds additional classes to the core programme to improve your communication skills (writing and speaking) and make your experience more immersive. Additional classes:

• Projects & Activities - benefit from a variety of activities such as debating, extended role-plays, presentations, and calligraphy. Activities will depend on your level and interests.
• Speaking classes - Additional weekly conversation practice.

Prerequisites: You must have completed level 4 of the core Arabic programme or have the equivalent required knowledge.

The Classical Arabic programme aims to teach you Arabic through Islamic and traditional themes. This course helps you familiarise yourself with classical and Islamic terminology, which is useful for those looking to study the Islamic sciences in Arabic or gain a better understanding of Islamic literature.

Prerequisites: You must have completed Level 0A of the core Arabic programme.

This programme is specifically designed to improve your verbal communication skills in Arabic through feedback from tutors as well as a variety of activities such as structured dialogues, debates, presentations and interviews amongst others. There is also a wide range of topics covered across the levels giving you a well-rounded exposure to the language. Intermediate and advanced levels also give students the flexibility to choose topics tailored to their interests and needs.

Groups are kept small so you have plenty of speaking practice.

Prerequisites: Determination to learn!

Start your journey of reading the Quran from here! You'll start with the Arabic alphabet and work through the Qa'idah (reading primer) until you are able to read verses from the Quran in Arabic independently with good pronunciation. You will also memorise selected short Surahs through repetition with the teacher in class.

LEVEL 1
- Learn to read Arabic words and sentences.
- Memorise 6 short Surahs (Al-Fatihah, An-Naas-Al-Kaafirun)/ improve your recitation of them

LEVEL 2
- Develop your confidence and fluency in reciting Quran.
- Memorise selected short Surahs.

Level: Intermediate

Duration: 80 hours (40 hours per level)
Prerequisites: Ability to read Quran from the Mushaf

In this course, you will improve your Tajweed practically. You will learn to pronounce Arabic letters and words better through Al-Qaa'idah An-Nooraniyyah and recitation of Juz’ 30 and 29. You will go through some of the essential rules of Tajweed directly related to improving your recitation.

Prerequisites: Ability to read Quran from the Mushaf

Delve into the theory of tajweed and master the correct manner of reciting the Quran. Studying the theoretical side of Tajweed helps you understand the mechanics of correct recitation. Alongside studying the theory, you will practice applying the rules practically and identifying them.

Prerequisites: Ability to read Quran from the Mushaf

This course aims to improve your Quran recitation through feedback and error correction from the teacher. You will work towards completing the Quran by looking from the beginning of the Mushaf. There is a particular focus on improving your application of the Tajweed rules.

Hifdh Camp

Level: Intermediate
Duration: 60 hours, 4 weeks

Boost your Hifdh journey and memorise Quran alongside like-minded students in a motivating environment. During the Hifdh lesson, you memorise, revise, and read to the teacher. The teacher sets your Hifdh goal, follows up on your progress, and tests you.

Private Hifdh

During Private one-to-one Hifdh sessions, your teacher listens to your recitation, corrects you, and sets your targets for your new memorisation and revision. The activity of memorising and revising is done in your own time.
