PROGRAMME INFO
DESCRIPTION
This programme is a general Fusha (Standard) Arabic programme that targets all 4 language skills: listening, reading, writing, and speaking. It embeds grammar (Nahw, Sarf and Balagha) throughout the curriculum and covers vocabulary related to a wide range of topics and themes, modern and classical.
The programme comprises 5 stages (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1). Each stage is composed of 2-5 levels. Each stage moves you closer to the overall programme objectives.
Arabic is taught in an immersive way so students become comfortable hearing and interacting in the language gradually and in a natural way.
By the end of the programme, you will be able to:
Be able to read Arabic confidently without Tashkeel;
Speak Fusha (standard) Arabic fluently;*
Express yourself in writing using the relevant conventions and expressions;
Use the language independently and proficiently;

Will I be able to speak by the end of the programme?
As this is a General Arabic course, all your language skills are targeted: listening, reading, writing and speaking. Once you reach B1 and B2, you will be able to speak more independently, having covered foundational vocabulary and grammar; however, this will depend on the efforts of each student both inside and outside of class.
Will I be able to understand the Quran through this course?
This general Arabic language courses will give you the foundational language skills needed to begin engaging with the Quran in its original language, though specialised Quranic study requires additional focused learning.
Here’s what you can expect:
- Beginner level (A1-A2): You’ll be able to recognise words and simple phrases, and understand basic sentence structures
- Intermediate level (B1-B2): You’ll grasp the general meanings of many verses and follow basic grammatical patterns
- Advanced level (C1-C2): You’ll have the Arabic foundation to pursue specialised Quranic studies with commentaries and scholarly resources
Our Recommendation:
This course provides the essential groundwork in grammar, vocabulary, and comprehension that directly supports Qur’anic understanding at every stage. To reach deeper insight, we encourage students at the intermediate and advanced levels to take specialised courses in Qur’anic Arabic and Tafsīr.
How do I take the lessons?
You will be given guidance on how to study online with us.
We use Microsoft Teams for our live online classes.
Are the teachers native speakers?
Yes! They also have training in teaching non-natives so you’re in good hands 🙂
Are lessons recorded?
No, lessons are not recorded by default to encourage regular attendance. We want students to feel comfortable turning on their cameras, engaging actively, and benefiting fully from live participation.
In special circumstances, lessons may be recorded with prior approval.
